about NEAT

My name is Andrea, and I’m the founder of NEAT.

I’m an architect and designer, focusing on interior design, concept development, and consulting.

A clear concept is the foundation of my work —

a framework that gives direction and supports sound decisions throughout the process.

Proportion, spatial rhythm, light, and materials are considered together to create spaces that feel natural, function well, and stand the test of time.

Each project is approached as a dialogue between the place, its use, and the people who move through it.

The role is to define and clarify this dialogue, and translate it into a solution that works not only visually, but in everyday use.

Where relevant, the work also extends to shaping the visual identity of a space, ensuring it supports and completes the overall concept.

vision

Each project begins by clarifying direction — not by solving details, but by understanding the context: the place, its use, expectations, and constraints.

What defines my work

  • a clear concept as the foundations for all further decisions

  • a sense of proportion, material and atmosphere
    -  always in relation to function

  • ability to step into various phases of the project – from early direction to final refinment

  • calm project guidance that helps maintain clarity
    and continuity

  • an ongoing dialogue with the client throughout the process

Often, projects are joined at a moment when the direction needs to be refined, aligned, or translated into a working solution.

Whether it’s a new space or a later phase of a long-term project, the aim remains the same: a coherent whole that makes sense and holds up over time.

collaboration

Collaboration can take different forms. Sometimes it starts from an empty space, other times from a project already in progress that needs its direction clarified.

When collaboration works best

  • when a clear concept is needed for a new interior

  • when a project is evolving and needs to stay consistent

  • when a space develops over time and requires
    thoughtful
    next steps

  • when an experienced, calm outside perspective
    supports decision-making

Work spans hospitality, workplaces, and residential projects
- always shaped by context and the way the space is used.

Different needs. Different scope. Different ways of working.

Consultation

A flexible form of collaboration that responds to the current project stage.

Used for quick but considered clarification — whether it’s a specific decision, orientation within options, or guidance during the process.

Within a consultation, we can focus on:

  • a specific question or problem to resolve

  • clarifying an already developed proposal

  • aligning aesthetics, function, and practical constraints

  • verifying next steps before moving into detail

Consultations can be one-off or an ongoing setup, depending on the needs of the project.

Design Session

Conceptual input that sets a clear direction for the project.

Work focuses on the space as a whole — from logic and flow to atmosphere and material expression.
This is not a complete design, but a defined framework to build on.

A Design Session may cover:

  • spatial layout and natural movement through the space

  • material and colour direction

  • initial furniture or product selections

  • priorities and next steps

The outcome is a clear foundation for further development — independently or as part of continued collaboration.

Interior design

A long-term cooperation that guides  the project from concept to completion.

The focus is on coherence, continuity, and the ability to translate ideas into a natural, buildable outcome.

This may include:

  • concept and spatial structure

  • layout, flow, and proportion

  • material and colour design

  • selection of furniture, lighting, and elements

  • ongoing consultation throughout implementation

The process is led as a dialogue — between the client, the space, and its context.
The goal is a space that functions naturally, and holds its quality over time.
