work with NEAT

Different projects need different kinds of input.

Sometimes NEAT develops the interior and sets its overall direction.

Sometimes a project is already underway and needs a fresh perspective.

And sometimes the collaboration begins with a collection, a story or a space that needs a clear point of view.

What connects them is the same approach:

finding the direction,

making considered decisions

and keeping the idea clear as it develops.

INTERIOR CONCEPTS & DESIGN DIRECTION

For hotels, restaurants, selected homes and other spaces that need a clear interior direction.

NEAT develops the interior concept and stays involved in the decisions

that shape how a space looks, feels and works as the project develops.

You might come to NEAT with

“We’re developing a hotel. We already have the architectural plans,

but need someone to take the interior from here — to establish the concept and carry it through the project.”

NEAT’s role may include

CONCEPT & SPACE
Interior concept · overall design direction · layouts

MATERIAL & OBJECT
Materials, colour & finishes · furniture & lighting · custom elements

THROUGH THE PROJECT
Design reviews · collaboration with makers and specialists · review of key proposals and shop drawings

Selected art, accessories and visual identity may form part of the concept where relevant.

A project in practice

Zámek Načeradec

NEAT developed the interior concept for the transformation of a historic château into a hotel with 12 guest rooms,

three apartments and shared spaces.

Working with the character and existing architecture of the centuries-old building, the project developed through regular consultation and collaboration with makers, artists and suppliers — from layouts and material direction to furniture, lighting and custom elements.

FOCUSED REVIEW & DESIGN DIRECTION

For a specific space, decision or project that need a clear second point of view.

NEAT reviews what is already there, identifies what could work better

and gives clear direction for what to do next.

Advisory can be a single focused review or continue at key moments as a project develops.

You might come to NEAT with

“Our café is working well, but the space no longer quite reflects where the business has moved.

We’d like to understand what we could improve without starting again from scratch.”

A focused review may include

BEFORE WE MEET

Plans, photographs, a short description of what you would like to resolve and relevant references are reviewed in advance.

REVIEW & DIRECTION

Recommendations · layout adjustments or sketches where useful · clear priorities and next steps

CONSULATION

A focused one-hour consultation with Andrea, online or in person where appropriate

A project in practice

Adapting a home for a growing family

The clients were expecting a baby and wanted to understand how their existing apartment could better support their changing needs.

Using the existing plan, photographs and their priorities, Andrea reviewed the apartment in advance and sketched adjustments directly over the plan. The 60-min consultation established what to change, what to keep and where intervention would make the biggest difference.

CURATORIAL, SPATIAL & EDITORIAL COMMISSIONS

For spaces, brands and platforms looking for a considered point of view.

NEAT brings together design, objects, space and context - establishing a clear idea,

making considered selections and shaping how they come together and are communicated.

The format can vary and is developed around each collaboration.

You might come to NEAT with

“We’d like to create a Designer’s Shelf in our showroom — a curated selection of products

with its own theme and a clear point of view on what belongs together and why.”

NEAT's role may include

CONCEPT & DIRECTION

Overall idea · creative and visual direction

CURATION

Considered selection · bringing individual elements into a coherent whole · spatial composition

EDITORIAL

Storytelling · curated edits · writing and copy where relevant

Editorial collaborations

NEAT works with selected brands and platforms on editorial pieces that bring its approach to interiors into a different context.

Recent collaborations include commissioned articles and curated selections for e.g. BELLA ROSE and Freshmama,

exploring interior decision-making, objects and the way spaces support everyday life.
